Random Thoughts

LoveImage by praram via Flickr
**Todays post is just a few things I jotted down earlier this morning when I couldn't sleep**
**Yep too much drugs in the system**
**Its not poetry...some seem like it, its not written for anyone**
**It just is what it is**

*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Often I wonder about you
Are you my hero?
My dream come true
Or have my nightmares,
manifested themselves in you?

Often I wonder about me
Am I strong enough?
To love you for you
Or am I just a weakling,
Who's gonna run away crying?

Often I wonder about us
Are we for real?
Or is this all but a dream?
Will the sun shine on us tomorrow?
Or will it rain to wash away the pain?

Poetry

Wrote a poem a few days back, figured I could share that with you lovely people.

When no one understands my fears
I smile even through the tears
The little joys we shared in the past
I'll find a way to make the memories last
I hope our paths do cross again
With a lot more joy and happiness to gain

Until then my beloved one
I'll smile despite the tears that run

Would love your comments :)

Short Story

Alright....so a friend asked me to write a short little love story. I gave it a shot and here's what I came up with. Would love your comments on this one.....even if it is to criticize :D
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We don’t pick who we fall in love with. Dave had never really agreed with this statement. If he were to be honest with himself, he didn’t really believe in the concept of love. And the very notion of love at first sight made his blood boil. He never understood how you could love someone that you didn’t know. After all isn’t love meant to be an understanding, an acceptance of a person as is? And then too, it didn’t matter coz love itself was alien to him.

That was until he laid eyes on her. She walked into the room and suddenly he couldn’t look anywhere else. She was beautiful no doubt, not in the classical sense nor in the modern, he thought to himself. She had a certain look about her though that made you want to look at her. His girl he got with him to the party was beginning to get clingy and he was already annoyed. So this little attraction he felt for this unknown girl seemed to get him on edge.

Are you a homophobe?

The answer to that better be a loud "No"!! I'm amazed at how limited people can be. Late yesterday I noticed a friend had put up a you-tube video link of a lesbian couple getting married in second life. It was the comments she added to the upload that pissed me right off. Here's what she said: "guys have u ever been to a wedding of a girl and girl??????? gosh dats crazzzyyyyy...if you haven't take a look at this......" this is the comment to the video. So I asked whats so crazy about the video. And here's what I get told..... "well i think that the people dont respond to such situations, as often and in a normal wedding it is seen dat there is a bride(girl) and groom (boy) and wedding together, but society treats these other aspects very unusual"

Somebody else adds to the comments by adding how gays or lesbians are violating god's rule? I'm like what the fuck.

New Year, New Beginnings?

Its Vishu today. For the first time in years I am not with mom to bring in the new year. Per se it really isn't that big a deal, but I miss her terribly. It feels like a new beginning but not a very pleasant one without her around to kiss my cheek and then nag me lol.

Had she told me a week back I'd have made arrangements to go be with her in Bombay...now well.....its al good though. Life goes on, and anoher vishu shall be around the corner soon enough.

Absolutely Random: Insecurities of a Seemingly Secure Gal

Someone said to me the other day that they love how I'm confident and how I am able to speak so freely even with strangers. It got me thinking. I always categorized myself as an introverted, reserved kinda gal. Sure I can talk a ton, but usually that is only with people I already know. Among strangers I'm more quiet, observant of their behavior.

Yeah I do fake my way through a lot of situations. I guess being called a shy kid by my mom pushed me into not wanting to seem that way among strangers. So I talk my ways through, but I keep my real kind of madness reserved for later *if and when we actually become friends*

If someone could read my mind when I'm among strangers, they'll sure be shocked lol.

But thats me huh, I just do what I have to do and it works mostly :D

We Bleed Blue :D

I'll be the first to admit that I do not sit in front of the television watching cricket matches. But!! When India plays Pakistan or India plays the finals, that little thing called patriotism pops its sweet head and I'm clued to the scored board (I don't keep a cable connection and internet streaming drives me nuts lol)

World Cup 2011!! What a bloody fantastic ride that one was. First the India - Pakistan match....hell yeah...Team India kicked ass!!! And then India - Sri Lanka.

For a little while there it was touch and go....but hell yeah....do we know how to play or what!!!

After 28 years, India finally showed the world that we are a force to reckon with. A song comes to mind right about here:

We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions - of the world

Hell Yeah!!!!
